I collaborated with a PR agency on a national campaign photoshoot featuring broadcaster Anneka Rice, aimed at encouraging people over 60 to use the bus more frequently. The goal was to create a set of approachable, eye-catching images that would connect with the campaign’s target audience and be suitable for use across press, digital, and social media channels. The imagery needed to feel authentic, optimistic, and editorially strong resonating with both lifestyle and news outlets.
The main challenge was balancing the practicalities of an outdoor shoot with the need for polished, media-ready visuals. The session took place in a public setting, meaning timing, lighting, and composition had to adapt quickly to changing conditions while keeping Anneka comfortable and engaged.
Working closely with the PR team, I planned a concise shooting schedule that allowed us to capture a variety of looks and angles within a limited timeframe. I focused on natural light and composition that highlighted Anneka’s personality and energy, while subtly reinforcing the campaign’s positive message about freedom and community. The resulting set included both posed and candid moments, providing editors with versatile imagery for different types of coverage.
The final photographs were used extensively across national and regional media outlets to support the campaign’s launch, including features in publications such as ATV Today. The images successfully captured the warmth and spirit of the campaign, helping to generate widespread engagement and visibility. The collaboration delivered a strong visual narrative that not only elevated the PR message but also connected authentically with its intended audience.
